![]() Smallville closed it’s 10-year run with an amazing episode last night. It was filled with some beautiful moments that had me smiling, crying, and finally screaming in anticipation with Michael Rosenbaum’s return as Lex Luthor, Aaron Ashmore’s surprise cameo as Jimmy Olsen, and most especially, Clark (Tom Welling) becoming Superman. It was an excellent conclusion to a much loved series. *sobbing* Thank you to the cast, crew and everyone involved with Smallville for bringing us a wonderful show the past 10-years – I will miss it immensely. Now for the ratings – according to “TV Line,” the two hour Smallville series finale rose 63% from last week’s episode, “Prophecy, ” and was Smallville’s most watched and highest rated episode since the October 15th episode, “Homecoming.” Viewership rose higher during the second hour, with 3.35 million watching the closing moments.

Major kudos to Justin Hartley (Oliver/Green Arrow) on his directorial debut for last night’s Smallville episode, “Dominion” – he did a fantastic job! It was great having Callum Blue (Zod) back for another episode, and I loved the new beard he was sporting. I also enjoyed the gladiator fight sequences in the Phantom Zone, which was done really well. All in all “Dominion” was definitely “one” of my personal favorite season ten episodes. According to “TVLine.com,” the ratings for “Dominion” dipped 20 percent (1.94 million, 0.8) versus last week.

I enjoyed last night’s episode, “Icarus”, which was the last “2010″ episode and the last mid-season finale for Smallville. *sadness* Favorite scenes: • Clark proposing to Lois. Can’t wait to find out the outcome when Smallville returns in 7-weeks (January 28th, 2011). See the ratings for last night’s episode below, thanks to “TheTVAddict.com“:

Let me just mention that I really enjoyed “Ambush” last night! I thought this episode revealed how strong Clark and Lois’ relationship is right now. I’m curious about Clark’s question to General Lane towards the end of the episode…could he be asking General Lane for Lois’ hand in marriage? Also enjoyed the Suicide Squad and Oliver and Tess scenes. Oh, and can’t forget that we saw Clark in his new suit – a definite plus! According to TVbytheNumbers, Smallville’s “Ambush” was down a tenth from last week to a 1.1 rating.
