highinvadersI’ve been watching a “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” marathon on DVD the past several days, and my favorite character on that series is of course the badass vampire Spike, portrayed by James Marsters.

He also portrayed one of my favorite villains on Smallville as Brainiac/Milton Fine, and as I mentioned in several earlier posts, I’m hoping he’ll return to reprise his role again.

I googled Marsters’ IMDb page to see what projects he has coming up, and his most recent project is starring in a sci-fi thriller called “High Plains Invaders“, currently available on rhitv.com on demand, and coming to SyFy on August 30th.  I included a short video clip and synopsis for the made-for-television movie below:

Synopsis:
The hanging of honorable Indian-fighter Sam Phoenix in a small western town is cut short by the unexpected invasion of uranium-based insectoid creatures, forcing Sam and a small band of survivors to take refuge in a church. They’ll need more than a prayer and a pistol to survive, as a Wild West landscape is inundated by a killer force of alien pioneers.
