FREAKIN’ AWESOME! Now I’m really excited! This is the first time in nine years that Smallville will have a two-hour television movie event.

I’ve got some big news for all my Super friends out there.

I’m hearing The CW has decided to package Smallville’s upcoming (and highly-anticipated) Justice Society-themed two-parter into a two-hour movie event airing on Jan. 29.

The Geoff Johns-penned episodes — titled “Society” and “Legends” and featuring such DC Comics stalwarts as Stargirl, Hawkman, and Dr. Fate — were originally designed to air separately. But, according to Smallville insiders, CW execs felt they could get more mileage out of combining them.

So cool! This is a big sign that the CW has faith in Smallville. I wonder, though, if this will change anything for the episodes themselves. Will they still keep them as two separate episodes and air them one right after the other, or will it act as one big episode. They’ll probably split them up on the DVD and for reruns, but I’m just wondering because if it is aired as one thing they might have to change some things in the episodes for pacing reasons. But still, SO excited. And there’s something bigger than this coming? Man, this is turning out to be a great day.

Gee so much emotions ! too little words. The only way the writers could make this episode better than christmas eve would be a Batman cameo (Gotham city was mentioned 2 times in season 6)
