Michael Rosenbaum2According to Hamlat at Michael Rosenbaum Media, Michael has his next project lined up, where he is set to star in the movie “Father of Invention” along side Kevin Spacey. Both Michael and Kevin reported on their twitter pages, that they started shooting today in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Michael will play Heather Graham’s ex-husband, and Kevin Spacey a billionaire inventor who falls on hard times when one of his devices goes spectacularly wrong.

Here’s the synopsis on IMDb:

Robert Axle, an eccentric inventor turned ego maniacal infomercial guru, loses it all when one of his inventions maims thousands of customers. After 8 years in maximum security prison, Axle is ready to redeem his name and rebuild his billion dollar empire. But first he must convince his estranged 22 year old daughter to let him live with her and her quirky, over protective roommates. This character driven comedy is a heart warming tale of how love, resilience and a little bit of creative genius can connect even the most disparate forces.

Just as Hamlat stated on his site, it will be amazing to see both Michael and Kevin share even just one scene together since both actors played Lex Luthor!

You’re right Kiota. It didn’t hit me that they both played Lex. How funny. Unfortunately…this could mean that he won’t return as a regular to Smallville. Bummer. He was my favorite actor/character – even over CT/TW.

I am a big fan of Michael Rosenbaum. I am really saddened by the fact that he will never return as a regular to Smallville. I love his character as Lex Luthor. He really is a great actor and I love him.

I agree! I actually thought when I attended the Comic-Con Smallville panel that they were going to announce Michael Rosenbaum possibly coming back for several ep’s in season nine, but I guess not.
