While walking around the exhibits on the floor Friday, I got to meet the lovely Alaina Huffman (Black Canary) at one of the autograph tables. She was very sweet, absolutely beautiful and tall…or maybe I’m just short, lol!

As I tweeted a few days ago, James Marsters will reprise his role as Brainiac, aka Milton Fine for the 200th episode, 10.04 “Homecoming” set to air this Fall!

I was hoping we’d see him again before the show concludes – awesome news!

Had a great time at Comic-Con the last 4-days – exhausting but so worth it. The highlight, of course was seeing the last Smallville panel at Comic-Con!

During the panel, the audience was treated to a review of the past nine seasons, including a sneak peek look at season ten which I understand has already been posted online. So many wonderful Smallville moments the last 9-years, now going on 10. It’s going to be sad saying good-bye when the day finally arrives.

Just a quick recap of what was discussed (hope I didn’t leave anything out):

• Tom Welling will be directing another episode in season ten.
• Geoff Johns (writer for “Legion” and “Absolute Justice”) will be writing another episode this season about DC characters, Blue Beetle and Booster Gold.
• The suit we saw in the season ten clip was the same suit used in “Superman Returns”.
• John Schneider took the stage and was part of the Smallville panel discussion!
• Erica Durance (Lois Lane) will be in 22-episodes for season ten
• Justin Hartley (Oliver Queen) will be in 17 episodes and will sit in the director’s chair in season ten!
• Allison Mack (Chloe Sullivan) will be in several episodes in season ten and her character will be introduced in the comic books.
• Some of the superheroes and villains coming to Smallville so far: Suicide Squad, Darkseid & Hawkman.

Also added pictures I took during the Smallville panel to the gallery. I’ll be posting the videos from the event later today as well.

I snapped a picture of the large beautiful show banners hanging right over the Warner Bros. exhibit booth at Comic-Con Thursday featuring “Smallville”,”V”, “Supernatural” and “The Vampire Diaries”.

Also, quick heads up – I will be tweeting from Comic-Con, including the Smallville panel on Sunday, July 25th, but there will be no website updates until I return on Sunday.

I discovered a very talented artist while visiting the exhibits at Comic-Con today! What originally caught my eye was a large banner of Christopher Reeve as Superman and Tom Welling as Clark Kent right below Reeve’s image displayed at the artist’s exhibit booth. After inquiring about the banner, I was directed at a eye-popping beautiful print of all the actors that have portrayed Superman through the years, which includes Tom Welling, so of course I immediately purchased it!

Question: I’m about to go Mel Gibson on your butt if I don’t get some Smallville spoilers regarding Lois and Clark. So how ’bout it bud? —Christine
Ausiello: You wouldn’t dare hit a man while he’s holding a mint condition Vanity Smurf plush circa 1982, would you? [Beat] Don’t answer that. Okay, here’s your scoop: There’s a development in the premiere that is so ginormous you’d think Smallville was heading into its final season or something.

Question: Any intel on Smallville‘s big bad this year? —Mitch.
Ausiello: No, but I think I have something better: Clark’s getting a new partner at the Daily Planet this season, and she’s got some major DC Comics cred. The character’s name is Cat Grant, and my good buddy Walter Wikipedia has all the deets on the currently-being-cast character. (And no worries Clois fans; Cat will serve solely as a comedic foil to Clark. I think.)
