I just added a new Smallville trailer to the left sidebar titled “Small Talk”.  I have to say that it looks awesome! Love the “small talk” Clark and Ollie share in the beginning and end of clip – hilarious!

Can’t wait until Smallville returns on April 2nd!

Tune in tonight for Smallville repeat episodes 9.03 “Rabid” and 9.05 “Roulette” starting at 8/7c on The CW.

The CW president, Dawn Ostroff spoke with “The Hollywood Reporter” about the network’s shows and briefly touched on Smallville’s stay on Friday nights:

THR: What about one of your other genre shows, “Smallville,” will it stay on Fridays?
Ostroff: “Smallville” has had a great year creatively and moving to Friday nights; viewers have not only followed it but have endorsed the show creatively. I think it’s too early too tell [where it will go], but it’s been doing well on Fridays.

What would be more ideal in my opinion is to pair “Smallville” back with “Supernatural” on Thursday nights, but given Ostroff’s statement above, it seems more likely they will keep Smallville right where it is.

I’m still excited about the Smallville season ten news that was announced earlier today! This is definitely a happy Smallville day!

Just a few Smallville news bytes to share and John Schneider’s new Twitter account:

1.  Turi Meyer tweeted earlier today that he, along with Al Septien, will be writing the season nine finale.

2.  “KryptonSite” shared a few episodes titles (below), including an interesting tid-bit that Justin Hartley (Oliver Queen) is one of the writers for “Sacrifice” and Greg Beeman is coming back to direct the season nine finale, “Salvation”. Read the spoilers in it’s entirety on “KryptonSite” here.

The CW Network has announced that its hit series SMALLVILLE will return in the fall of 2010 for a momentous tenth season.

SMALLVILLE, a modern retelling of the Superman legend, stars Tom Welling as Clark Kent. The series moved to Friday nights this season, where it currently ranks as network television’s #1 show in its time period among men 18-34 and men 18-49. Additionally, SMALLVILLE has dramatically improved The CW’s ratings performance in its Friday 8:00-9:00p.m.time period by 67% among adults 18-34 (1.5/6), 200% in men 18-34 (1.8/7), 75% in adults 18-49 (1.4/5), 183% in men 18-49 (1.7/6) and 74% in total viewers (3.12million).

SMALLVILLE joins the five previously announced series – THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, GOSSIP GIRL, 90210, SUPERNATURAL, and AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL – which will all return for another season on The CW.

SMALLVILLE was developed for television by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar (“Shanghai Noon,” “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor”), based on the DC Comics characters. Kelly Souders & Brian Peterson serve as executive producers, along with James Marshall, Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins and Joe Davola. John Schneider (Pa Kent) attended the “Steel City Con” this past weekend (February 27th & 28th) in Monroeville, Pennsylvania.

I would love to see James Marsters return to Smallville before the show wraps up. I’ve been a fan of his since “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”, and enjoyed his portrayal of Brainiac/Milton Fine. The show definitely has left it open for him to return.

With that being said, James recently chatted with “Poptimal.com” and very briefly mentioned Smallville and Tom Welling:

On Smallville:
Definitely would love to return to Smallville. James had nothing but great things to say about the cast of Smallville, as well as Tom Welling, the resident Superman.
