John Schneider Joins 90210 Cast
Posted by Nessa • No Comments »

js008 The CW confirmed to Zap2it that John Schneider (Jonathan Kent) is joining another CW drama, 90210, and will play Liam’s step-father, appearing in episode 2 this fall.

Sources say Liam’s step-dad, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, is a bit of a jerk, whom Liam, as revealed last season — does not get along with. This will be a recurring role throughout the season.

90210 returns to The CW on September 8th.

DC Comics Movies on Horizon: Flash, Bizarro, Aquaman
Posted by Nessa • No Comments »

dccomics-movie-logo-dark-tsrimg

Okay, how ironic that I just posted the Aquaman trailer with Justin Hartley, because I could totally see him as Aquaman in the movie!  Also, a Bizarro Superman movie – now that would be cool!  Read below:

FIRSTSHOWING.NET:  The Hollywood Reporter has published an article looking at all of the DC Comics movies in the works and a bit of news about hiring on a few DC writers as consultants. It looks like DC might finally be setting up their game to compete with the ever-growing Marvel Studios.

Warner Bros has been changing the way they work with DC Comics over the last year. One part of that reorganization involved secretly hiring three of DC’s biggest comic book writers – Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison and Marv Wolfman – to act as consultants and writers for its superhero movies in the works. Johns, known best for his work on the on-going Green Lantern comics, has been working on a new version of a Flash script, that was first written by Dan Mazeau. Johns will also produce, but no director has been hired yet for that. The projects Morrison and Wolfman have been working on haven’t been revealed yet.

Here is a better look at exactly how these writers are involved, as they’re not just sitting on the sidelines.

The process involves one writer taking point, though the trio do collaborate on projects, reading one another’s materials while hashing out a story that will be at once accessible to nonfans yet still adhere to each character’s long history. The writers also work in tandem with producers, writers and the Warners execs overseeing the projects, showing them treatments and providing notes on scripts.

“The creative process is by and large a true partnership,” DC’s Gregory Noveck said. “They’ll ask us a ton of questions, and we’ll give a ton of answers. We will talk back and forth. We’ll discuss writers and talent, but ultimately it’s their decision.” Other DC projects that they’re developing include Aquaman and Adam Strange. Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way is developing the Aquaman movie, however, Warner Bros is still hearing pitches those two. There is also a Constantine sequel still in the works, a few Green Arrow projects like Super Max, and the Shazam movie that director Pete Segal has been attached to for a while.

Justin Hartley In Aquaman
Posted by Nessa • 4 Comments »

I just watched the Aquaman Trailer with Justin Hartley for the first time today and I can’t believe this show wasn’t picked up by the network a couple years ago - it looks really good with a nice cast lineup.  Justin sure does make a beautiful Aquaman, don’t you think?

Interesting tid-bit about the actors in the trailer – three of the actors from the pilot came out in Smallville:

  • Amber McDonald played Gloria from the episode “Wither” 6.03.
  • Adrianne Palicki (now on Friday Night Lights) played Kara from the episode “Covenant” 3.22.
  • Rick Peters (FBI Agent in trailer) played Bob Rickman in the episode “Hug” 1.11.

A Look Back At Favorite Smallville Moments
Posted by Nessa • 2 Comments »

SB Additions banner

There are so many wonderful, funny and tender moments in the eight years of Smallville – thought I’d add some of those clips this week to the video widget on the left sidebar.  I’m not too savvy with creating videos, otherwise I’d combine some of those moments in one clip – I’m learning though, and I’ll share it on here once I get the hang of it.

In the meantime, enjoy the clips – there always fun to see again.

Question: They’re have been conflicting reports about where Smallville is heading in the romance department this year. Is it the season of Clois, or are they really revisiting Lois and Ollie again? –Jeff
Ausiello:
It’s full-tilt-Clois. I’m sure they will touch on Lois-Ollie, but it won’t be anything significant.
