A few Smallville cast and alum news, Geoff Johns has a new position at DC Entertainment, and site updates: 1. Congratulations to Geoff Johns, who was named Chief Creative Officer for DC Entertainment this morning. Read the full article, at “MTV” here. 2. Spike TV greenlit a golf-themed pilot, starring John Schneider (Pa Kent) titled “Back Nine”. Schneider will play Ronnie Barnes, a hard-drinking, washed-up former U.S. Open champion. “Back Nine” is looking to join Spike’s two new sports-themed scripted comedy series: “Blue Mountain State”, which also stars two Smallville alums, Alan Ritchson (AC/Aquaman) and Sam Jones III (Pete Ross), and the upcoming “Players.” Read the full article at “The Hollywood Reporter” here. 3.
