Mystery of The Complete 8th Season Blu-ray Package ‘Change’ is Solved!  The new box art picture for the August 25th release isn’t for general retail, after all (read earlier post here). Read below:

TVShowsOnDVD has confirmed that the package art for Smallville – The Complete 8th Season (of Clark and Lois shown inside the offices of The Daily Planet) was the correct artwork for general retail release. What had been briefly posted at Amazon, and has now been fixed, is artwork that will be meant to be exclusively available at one retailer (not Amazon; possibly it is Best Buy). Whenever the retailer in question advertises it, that will be available on the standard DVD release as well as the high-def Blu-ray version.

Amazon listings are now showing the proper artwork for both versions of Smallville – The Complete 8th Season. The “general release” artwork for the DVD and Blu-ray versions are once again below, as well as the alternate version in the special case, which is the Daily Planet artwork:
