Loved last night’s “Hostage” episode. It was wonderful seeing Annette O’Toole (Martha Kent) back on the show – I hope we more of her and Michael McKean (Perry White) next season!

The ratings for “Hostage” are in courtesy of “TVbytheNumbers“. Smallville had 1.9 million viewers. See the breakdown below:

I thought last night’s episode was great too. Loved that Martha Kent was the red queen. The season finale should be amazing!

Hey Lilash,

Believe it or not, one of my favorite scenes from “Hostage” was when Clark confronts his mom about her being the Red Queen.

The finale is less than a week away! :)

Hey Mishelle,

Yeah, those numbers are pretty disappointing! It’s so frustrating that the ratings have been horrible since it came back from hiatus! *sigh*

I think last night’s episode was great, and hoped for higher ratings… I guess many people were out watching Iron Man 2, which I must say wasn’t too bad.
But my hopes are up for the season finale, which looks great from what they’ve shown on the new promo.

- Can’t wait! :)

I think a lot of people are tired of what the writers are doing with the Lois&Clark relationship. I know I am.

Hey Ely,

I was hoping for higher ratings as well…especially since we had two iconic characters return to the show. Oh, are folks attributing the horrible ratings to Iron Man 2? That’s where we’re headed this morning!

Five more days until “Salvation”! :D

Hey Jennifer,

I have to admit…I am too! I guess Clark & Lois’ relationship was the one taking the nose dive this season. I think it was Ausiello that teased that spoiler recently. *sigh*

Re: Nessa
Enjoy the movie! I know I did! :)

- Whoever is at home on the weekend go to the movies and watch Iron Man 2… it’s really cool!

…And don’t forget to watch “Salvation” this Friday!

I think it was a bit disappointiong that we knew who the red queen was before ‘Hostage’. The red queen story was putting a lot of suspence in smallville but unfortunately the trailer for this episode ruined everything!

Hey Ely,

Enjoyed Iron Man 2 today! Scarlett Johansson as Natasha/Black Widow was quite impressive! Wish we saw more of her in the movie. Although I like Don Cheadle, wish he didn’t replace Terrence Howard as Rhodey.

Hey Astrid,

Yeah, I was surprised by that spoiler too actually. I thought after watching the “Hostage” trailer for the first time that maybe it was deceiving, but that wasn’t the case obviously after viewing the episode.

Loved the episode though – It had the very much missed family dynamic with Martha back on the show.

Pity about the ratings.
I quite liked the episode, Erica is hot and Annette was great (Except her sudden rush of age and graying hair, but I guess that’s politics).
Keep the good posts coming

Hey James,

I totally agree! The ratings have really taken a dive since it returned from hiatus. Hopefully the finale this Friday will fair better.

I sure hope The CW moves Smallville back to Thursdays (wishful thinking of course).
